						Properties:        
                              
                      Sour in flavour, warm in              
                      nature, it acts on liver and spleen channels. Being sour,              
                      it acts on the liver, suitable for nourishing blood and              
                      muscle, relaxing muscle and tendon, clearing channels, to              
                      relieve pain, rheumatic arthralgia, spasm of muscle; when            
                      it acts on spleen and stomach, the herb has the function            
                      of  eliminating              
                      dampness, normalizing function of stomach and spleen, for              
                      treatment of dampness obstruction in middle-jiao, vomiting              
                      and diarrhea and muscle spasm. In addition, being sour, it              
                      has the effect of promoting the generation of the body              
                      fluid, suitable for digestion and thirst, eliminating              
                      dampness and regulating the middle-jiao           
                                   
                      
             
                      Effects:            
                      Relaxing the muscle and             
                      tendon, activating the flow of Qi and blood in the             
                      channels and collaterals, and removing dampness to restore

                      For rheumatic arthralgia, excess of pathogenic              
                      dampness, heaviness and pains in the limbs, muscular              
                      spasm, the herbs, such as achyranthes and cyathula root              
                      (Radix Achyranthis bidentatae et Radix Cyathulae), coix              
                      seed (Semen Coicis), tetrandra root (Radix Stephaniae        
                      tetrandrae) and atractylodes rhizome (Rhizoma Atractylodis),              
                      are often used in combination to clear the heat and              
                      dampness, and relieve arthralgia.

                      For summer-heat dampness and impairment of middle-jiao,             
                      abdominal pain and diarrhea, vomiting and muscular spasm,             
                      the herb is used together with magmolia bark (Cortex             
                      Magnoliae officinalis), pinellia tuber (Rhizoma Pinelliae),             
                      coix seed (Semen Coicis) and tetrandra root (Radix             
                      Stephania trtrandrae) to eliminate dampness and normalize             
                      the function of stomach, stop vomiting and diarrhea. It             
                      has the effects on deficiency of gastric secretion, oral             
                      dryness and anorexia (with the function of promoting the             
                      generation of body fluid).
