Successful TCM Treatment Case

Hyperosteogeny of Cervical Vertebra

and Herniated Lumbar Disk

 

Zhou Xirong£¬a  40 years old female.

October 18, 2005.

The patient often suffers from mouth ulcer for 4 years. Stiff neck causes the sore back with stiff sense. No distention and no cold and hot sense locally. The patient has been diagnosed with cervical spondylosis in 2001. Severe dizziness. Loss of hair. She has lots of white hair. Thirst, no bitter taste in her mouth. Drink much water, especially cool water. There are chest oppression and palpitations, cough with much whitish phlegm after getting up in the morning. The appetite is normal, but distention in the stomach exists. The bowel movement is once a day and the stool is constipated. Frequent urination but no night urination and no yellowish urine. Aversion to cold in winter and cold hands and feet. Heavy and sore legs. No tital fever and no night sweating.

The patient has anemia, low blood pressure, normal menstruation with blood clots. There are lumbar and abdominal pains. Reddish tongue body with thin and yellow tongue coating and tooth-marks on the edges of the tongue. Thin and weak pulse.

Diagnosis: Cervical vertebra hyperosteogeny, herniated lumbar disk.

October 21, 2005.

There is slight relief of painful back, heavy legs and thirst. No dizziness recently. But she still has hot sense in the mouth. The stiff and sore neck is as before. Appetite is normal. Less phlegm. The bowel movement is once a day and urination is more smooth. The distention of the stomach and the cold feet and hands are improved. Thin and weak right pulse. Reddish tongue body with tooth-marks on the edges of the tongue.

The bowel movement is not smooth, but the urination is smooth. Appetite is normal. More sleep and less phlegm. Thirst, but no bitter taste in the mouth. There is  improvement of the cold feet and hands, burning mouth and nose. Tooth marks on the edges of the tongue, thin and yellow tongue coating.

The bowel movement is not so smooth. Appetite is normal. More sleep and less distention in the stomach and less phlegm. Thirst and no bitter taste in mouth. Slight improvement of the cold feet and hands. The right shoulder pains are relieved a little. The lumbar pains are improved 40%. Improvement of the pains of the thoracic vertebra. Tooth-marks on the edges of the tongue.

November 12, 2005.

The bowel movement is a little smooth. Appetite and sleep are normal. Little distention in the stomach. No thirst. The ulcers in the mouth and nose are improved. The urine is clear and there is no constipation. Do not drink much water, prefer warm drinks. The pains in the lumbus and back are sometimes less and sometimes worse. Less tooth-marks on the edges of the tongue. Thready and weak  pulse.

November 20, 200. 

The pains in the lumbus and back are relieved a lot. Dizziness relieved. Thirst and mouth ulcers become worse. There is improvement of the pulse. She still has cold feet and hands. Reddish tongue body with thin and yellow tongue coating.

November 27, 2005. 

There are further improvement of dizziness and great relief of pains of the lumbus and back. The mouth ulcer is cured. Light reddish tongue body with thin and yellow tongue coating. Slight thirst. The hands and feet are not so much cold. The pulse is becoming stronger.
